Virtual University Sialkot Campuses (PSKT01) organized its Annual Sports Event “Sports Gala” on 26th November, 2016. The day started off by inauguration ceremony attended by faculty members, staff and a large number of students. The CEO Mr. Sohail Amir Khan inaugurated the sports gala and distributed shields and certificates among the winners and organizers. We had an attendance of over 450 including, students, Event Organizers, Students organizers and Staff members of VUCCI.
An excellent opportunity for recreation and a break from academics for our students. Students enjoyed the function and participated in games and felt relaxed mentally as well as physically, there were lots of entertainment activities planned for them. Several games both for boys and girls were planned like Spoon Race, Tug of War, Gol Gappay eating race, Cold drink race, Needle race, Mehndi Competition and musical chair extra.
Boys were more keen in Cricket as 9 teams participated. The team of No Mercy outclassed the team of Shaheen 11 in cricket championship and grabbed the first position while Shaheen 11 were runners-up. Beside cricket, boys also enjoyed playing Tug of War, Arm’s wrestling, Sprint Race, Sack Race, Singing and Break dance competitions and Push-ups.
Music and sound system was also arranged. All participants were served lunch (Burger, Shawarma and cold drinks). All the Faculty and staff members helped in organizing the activities. The main aim of the gala is to promote sense of competition among youth in addition to provide them a forum to carry out healthy activities.
